5v5 mode is live — matchmaking, Discord voice and fair ranked play
The biggest update since the site launched. 5v5 mode is live — ranked matchmaking straight from the site. And it's wired to Discord: voice channels, auto-roles, private per-match rooms and a fair penalty system.
🕹️ 5v5 mode — how it works
Go to /play → hit PLAY → the site finds you 9 opponents by ELO. Everything you'd expect from a matchmaker:
- Parties up to 5 — friend up and queue together. Or browse open lobbies via "Find lobby".
- Map veto — team captains take turns banning maps until one is left. The veto winner picks the side (BL / GR).
- The in-game bot creates the CrossFire room for you. Join → take your slot → play.
- After the match — captains attach a screenshot and pick the winning team. ELO applies right away.
📊 ELO, levels and the leaderboard
Win = +25 ELO, lose = −25 ELO. Your ELO drives your level 1–10 (FACEIT-style). The leaderboard page shows the top 5 right on the Play page, plus your own rank card.
🔗 How to start playing — 3 steps
- Open your profile → in the Game Account card enter your IGN → whisper the bot in-game with your code. A couple of seconds later your CrossFire account is linked.
- In the Discord card hit Link Discord → OAuth → then join our server.
- Go to /play → PLAY. The bot handles the rest.
🏆 New match flow — clearer, tighter, fairer

Pick which team won — two big buttons carrying the team names. Instructions ship inline: press Print Screen after the match, attach the screenshot, pick the winner.
Voice channel = your seat in the match
Discord voice presence is now the source of truth for "did you show up". Not in your team's voice channel by the 3-minute deadline = no-show — −30 ELO, the match is voided, and the players who did show up are put back into the queue immediately.
🔧 What's on the Discord server
- #welcome onboarding — pick your region first (EU / RU / EG), then your interest (Play / Community / Stats). Roles applied automatically.
- General chat — #general for everyone, regardless of region.
